Soft drinks in India witnessed slightly lower value growth in 2015. Unseasonal rainfall affected sales across the country. Generally, as winter ends and temperatures begin to rise, beverages, especially carbonates, record strong growth. This year, however, untimely rain across the country kept temperatures under check and there was a somewhat cool start to the summer. This led to a small decline in the carbonates growth rate.
